- Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s upcoming expansion is called Shining Revelry
- It arrives on March 27th, introducing 110 new cards
- Among those will be Shiny variants of Pokemon
My enthusiasm for playing Pokemon TCG Pocket fluctuates periodically. Whenever a new collection is released, I become fully immersed in the game and continue playing to accumulate Emblems from winning about 40 matches. Other than that, I log in, open my packs, take part in a Wonder Pick for fun, and then usually forget about it until the next day. This pattern will repeat once again when the upcoming expansion, Shining Revelry, launches on March 27th.
110 new cards will be added to the TCG Pocket collection, featuring a blend of fresh Ex Pokemon, Trainers, and our cherished art cards. The most thrilling aspect? This expansion introduces Shiny Pokemon! For those who may not have guessed from the name, these are alternate colored versions of your beloved creatures. To illustrate, Lucario will now be yellow instead of blue, while Pachirisu boasts a stylish pink stripe.
Below, you’ll find the trailer that offers just a glimpse of what’s coming up. Let’s delve into it together. A fresh Shiny Charizard Ex is on its way, boasting 180 HP and a powerful attack called Steam Artillery, capable of inflicting an impressive 150 points of damage. However, be prepared to provide five energy cards for this attack. On the bright side, its move Stoke lets you add three Fire Energy tokens all at once!
As a gamer, I’ve just discovered another fresh face in the gaming world: Lucario! Though he’s had some side roles in the Space-Time Smackdown expansion, this updated Aura Pokemon is ready to take center stage. With 150 HP that might not seem thrilling at first glance, but wait till you see Aura Sphere in action – it can dish out a powerful 100 damage using three Fighting Energy, and on top of that, it’ll deal 30 damage to one of your opponent’s sidelined Pokemon!
The trailer additionally previews other cards that may not shift mountains but are exceptional nonetheless. Shiny Wiglett, Pachirisu, and Varoom are all coming soon and they look amazing. At the same time, there’s a stunning Tatsugiri art rare that I absolutely need for my digital collection.
The Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket is accessible on both the App Store and Google Play, allowing you to play at no charge, with additional items available as in-app purchases. To start playing, simply click the buttons provided to download it onto your chosen platform.
