On January 21, 2025, Saif Ali Khan left the hospital following an assault at his Bandra home several days prior. In multiple videos circulated online, the actor demonstrated incredible resilience by foregoing a wheelchair and walking independently instead. More recently, Pooja Bhatt shut down critics with a sharp retort, while also expressing admiration for Khan’s determination and strength.
In conversation with ETimes, Pooja Bhatt discussed the online harassment Saif Ali Khan has faced following his hospital release. She countered the rumors swirling on the internet and highlighted the courage required when someone seeks aid in a fragile condition, praising his resilience in recuperating.
She pointed out that the gruesome depictions of the stabbing incident, which were widely reported in the media, may have formed a certain mental picture about Saif’s condition among the public. However, this impression might not match the reality of him walking out of the hospital unaided, according to her. Additionally, she delivered a sharp retort to counter the infamous internet trolls.
She expressed, “Yet, aren’t they overlooking the fact that they praised him for voluntarily going to the hospital too? A man who bravely admits himself to the hospital in a hurt and traumatized state certainly has the courage to leave the hospital on his own accord. We should be celebrating this resilience, not jumping to conclusions about conspiracies.
After being released from medical care, the actor was seen, attired in a white shirt, denim pants, and dark sunglasses, moving independently without any assistance such as a wheelchair. He demonstrated an indomitable spirit and could be observed walking on his own, carrying a cast in one hand and sporting bandages around his neck, which were conspicuous in the paparazzi videos.
Upon his return at age 54, the actor was escorted by a substantial security detail. Excited supporters and photographers waiting outside his residence greeted him warmly. He reciprocated their enthusiasm with a smile, gave a thumbs-up, and waved affectionately in response.
On a Wednesday, Saif and his mother Sharmila Tagore encountered Bhajan Singh Rana, the kind-hearted auto-driver who swiftly transported Saif to the hospital following an unfortunate event. In conversation with IANS, Rana shared that the actor and his family members expressed gratitude and admiration for his assistance.
