As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for both high-octane sports cars and out-of-this-world gaming experiences, I must say that the Porsche 984 Tempest NDX spacecraft has truly caught my eye (or should I say, my retina?). The sleek design, reminiscent of a futuristic Porsche, paired with retro-futuristic flair, is a mesmerizing blend that speaks to the creative minds behind both Porsche and Naughty Dog.

Recently, Porsche unveiled on Instagram their new joint project, dubbed as the 984 Tempest NDX spaceship, crafted alongside Naughty Dog for their forthcoming video game titled “Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.

From the information presented in the post and trailer, here’s what we’ve learned thus far: The spaceship, which is our game character Jordan A. Mun’s property, has a unique design that combines the stylish look of a Porsche with a retro-futuristic vibe. Notable updates to its technology draw inspiration from the 1980s, as evidenced by the Sony CD changer-style jukebox onboard.

Neil Druckmann, the creative head of Naughty Dog, referred to the game as their “most daring, creatively ambitious story yet,” and the Porsche 984 Tempest NDX seems to embody that ambition. With its streamlined design and advanced features, the vessel appears poised to take a central role in the narrative of Intergalactic, ferrying players through its cosmic landscape.
