Porsche Unleashes New 690 Horsepower Taycan GTS

As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for virtual speed and precision, I can’t help but feel my heart race at the sight of Porsche’s latest offering – the Taycan GTS and GTS Sport Turismo. Having spent countless hours behind the wheel (or rather, joystick) in high-performance simulators, I appreciate the finesse that goes into crafting a true sports car.

Porsche has added two new models to its Taycan family: the Taycan GTS and GTS Sport Turismo. These additions bring improved performance, aesthetic upgrades, and an extended driving range. The GTS collection, recognized for its sporty character and positioned between the Taycan 4S and Taycan Turbo, is back with a vengeance, delivering impressive all-around performance in both sedan and Sport Turismo body styles.

The latest Taycan GTS boasts an overboost power of up to 515 kW (690 hp) using Launch Control, which is a significant increase of 75 kW compared to its previous version. Furthermore, within the Sport Chrono package, there’s a push-to-pass function that provides an extra boost of up to 70 kW, enhancing acceleration even further. The new GTS sports sedan and GTS Sport Turismo can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in an impressive 3.3 seconds, improving speed by 0.4 seconds compared to their predecessors, and they have a maximum driving range of up to 390 miles.

The designs of both models stand out, boasting Black and Grey Anthracite details, as well as assertive front and back bumpers. Inside, Porsche has incorporated materials similar to those found in the Taycan Turbo GT, offering Race-Tex upholstery and Adaptive Sports Seats Plus. Upgrades include an enhanced rear-axle motor, advanced thermal management, and the new Porsche Active Ride suspension system, all aimed at enhancing both handling and comfort. These updates maintain the sporty spirit of the GTS models, while also injecting a fresh energy into the Taycan family.

The prices for the latest models vary between roughly $103,000 and $150,000 USD. For further details, please visit Porsche’s official website.
