Prada persistently reshapes the concept of sustainable elegance as they launch their 2025 Re-Nylon Collection, an ambitious project that converts ocean and landfill plastic waste into regenerated nylon. This collection underscores Prada’s steadfast dedication to environmental stewardship and ingenuity.
Working together with National Geographic CreativeWorks, Prada has debuted its third set of films showcasing the background and influence of the Re-Nylon project. The films, starring renowned actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Sadie Sink, along with SEA BEYOND representatives Valentina Gottlieb and Giovanni Chimienti, delve into the worldwide problem of marine pollution and Prada’s groundbreaking efforts to combat it.
The Re-Nylon collection is created using Econyl, a reborn nylon fabric derived from recycled plastic debris, symbolizing Prada’s sustainable fashion philosophy known as circular design. By lessening our dependence on newly produced materials, this approach establishes a fresh benchmark for eco-friendliness within the luxury industry.
The assortment features 191 carefully crafted items, seamlessly merging Prada’s trademark minimalism and modern elegance. Highlighted pieces are the Re-Nylon bucket hat, Saffiano leather backpack and duffle bag, predominantly available in sleek black, embellished with the famous Prada logo. Two exceptional items stand out from the crowd with bold colors such as “Bottle Green” and “Aviator Blue,” injecting a vibrant splash of color into the classic range. This collection caters to eco-friendly shoppers while also showcasing Prada’s knack for marrying contemporary ingenuity with enduring style.
The 2025 Re-Nylon Collection is now available on Prada’s webstore.
