Recently, Preity Zinta visited the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, taking a dip in the holy waters of Triveni Sangam accompanied by her mother. Immersed in the spiritual ambiance of the event, she pondered over whether this experience might lead to letting go of familial ties and duties after such a profound encounter. She also confessed her yearning for true liberation.
On February 26th, Preity Zinta posted on Instagram a video from her third trip to Maha Kumbh 2025. In the footage, she is depicted immersing herself in religious practices, taking a sacred bath at Triveni Sangam, and exploring temples together with her mother.
After pondering over the event, she wrote an emotional letter, labeling it as ‘enchanting, heart-touching, and a tinge of melancholy.’ She detailed the profound feelings that washed over her, moved by the spiritual ambiance, thankful for spending this moment with her mother, but wrestling with the complexities of letting go of earthly connections.
Pondering if she was indeed prepared to forsake her dearly loved ones, she penned, “Feeling sad as I yearned for the freedom from life’s recurring patterns of birth and death. Yet, it seems life carries a dual nature with its ties. Am I truly willing to sever bonds with my family, children, and those I cherish? No, I am not!
The actress went on to explain how her journey underscored the thought that although connections are potent, personal development is essentially a solo venture. She wrapped up by acknowledging that ‘we are not merely physical beings experiencing spirituality, but spiritual entities going through a human experience’, finishing with the phrase Har Har Mahadev.
Immediately after Preity posted the video, fans swiftly responded with their comments. One supporter commented, “It’s hard to recognize her as Preity Zinta in that video. She doesn’t need a bodyguard for her safety. That’s wonderful.”, while another fan exclaimed, “Pretty Zinta Ma’am, my favorite actress since I was a child.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: “I was deeply touched by the praise for my spiritual journey at the Maha Kumbh. One follower exclaimed, ‘So blessed to witness your dip!’ Another admirer appreciated my sincere reflections, commenting, ‘Thank you for your honesty and openness. We’re on a similar path.’ A fan simply expressed, ‘You’ve always been my favorite.’
Notably, numerous well-known personalities such as Katrina Kaif, Raveena Tandon, Rasha Thadani, Abhishek Banerjee, Vicky Kaushal, Akshay Kumar, and the Ambanis have made a trip to Prayagraj in 2025. They went there to immerse themselves in the sacred waters of the Ganges during the Maha Kumbh festival.
