Today, exactly one year ago on August 1st, I was absolutely thrilled as Priyanka Chopra, an actress I admire immensely, shared a post from the makers of Citadel: Honey Bunny, featuring none other than Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu! As if that wasn’t enough, she gave a massive shout-out by using multiple collision emojis. And to top it all off, she tagged the lead actors, directors Raj&DK, and the show producers. I couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement knowing that this amazing actress is part of the same series!

It’s noteworthy that creators of Citadel: Honey Bunny recently unveiled the teaser and lead actors’ first look poster. In these images, they are portrayed with a large gun in hand, focused on their target. Moreover, it has been officially confirmed that the series will debut on November 7, 2024.
Simultaneously, the show’s trailer blended action scenes and introduced the cast in their roles, while a contemporary version of “Raat Baaki” played as background music. Samantha shared insights about the series, stating that performing action scenes with Varun was akin to dancing. She explained this by saying that it felt as if they were moving in harmony, much like a romantic dance to a beautiful song. Additionally, she mentioned that there are lengthy one-take action sequences lasting 11-12 minutes in the series, which left everyone astonished.
Besides Varun and Samantha, the show features Kay Kay Menon, Saqib Saleem, and Sikandar Kher in significant roles. The series is helmed by Raj& DK and produced by D2R Films, with its premiere scheduled for November 7, 2024, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
On October 10, 2024, a new series titled “Citadel: Diana” – an Italian spin-off – will be unveiled. This show is connected to the universe of Citadel, where the initial season featured renowned actors such as Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Stanley Tucci, and Lesley Manville.
