As I reflect upon Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ recent Instagram post, it stirs a sense of admiration and awe within me. Born in a humble Army town and raised by two dedicated physicians, her journey to global stardom is nothing short of inspiring. Her transformation from a nine-year-old with boy-cut hair to the Miss India winner at 17 is a testament to her determination and resilience.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas hails from a small town and was raised by two doctors who served in the Indian Army. One might assume that sheer luck propelled her to the heights of acting success, both in Bollywood and Hollywood. However, it takes much more than good fortune to reach such acclaim. In a recent Instagram post, she reminisced about her younger self at age nine compared to her teenage years when she had already claimed the Miss India crown.

Instead of creating a collage, the worldwide phenomenon shared a side-by-side comparison of two pictures. The black-and-white image depicted her at age nine, sporting a boyish haircut, which was easy for her mother Madhu Chopra to style for school. In the first picture, Priyanka Chopra Jonas appears almost unrecognizable. However, in the subsequent photo, taken when she was 17 and had just been crowned Miss India in 2000, she looked stunningly beautiful.

Take a look:

The actress who played Bajirao Mastani also used a quote from Britney Spears in her note and explained that reflecting on her younger self makes her more compassionate. In her post’s caption, she offered some insightful thoughts: “As Britney Spears so eloquently said… I’m not a woman yet, just a girl. That’s how I felt then, stepping into the world of entertainment. Even after almost 25 years, I’m still learning and growing.

Reflecting on this, it seems we’re all in the same boat. Pondering over my past self frequently softens my heart towards myself now. Consider your past self and all they’ve accomplished for you. Embrace yourself, you’ve endured much to reach where you are today. What was it that your younger self did for you? #MondayMusings Thanks to whoever created the side-by-side photo and shared it with me.

Currently, Priyanka Chopra is keeping occupied with the filming of Citadel Season 2 and eagerly anticipates the premiere of Heads Of State and The Bluff in her professional life.
