As per reports circulating, he took his final breath at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in the bustling city of Mumbai.
It’s with great sadness that we must share the news of the passing of Indian film producer, Salim Akhtar. This esteemed figure in the industry, renowned for supporting films such as the 1993 classic “Phool Aur Angaare” and the 1983 hit “Qayamat,” passed away on April 8, 2025. According to a report by India Today, he is survived by his wife, Shama Akhtar, and their son, Samad Akhtar.
