After months of anticipation, Diljit Dosanjh‘s movie “Punjab 95” is getting ready for its debut. This morning on January 11, 2025, he unveiled the first glimpse of himself in the film, which quickly became a sensation on social media. Now, the multi-talented star has announced that the movie will be hitting theaters in February 2025.
Diljit Dosanjh posted a touching photo from an upcoming movie on a platform once known as Twitter, where his character is with his children. In a concise message, he revealed that the movie is set to debut in February, but it’s still uncertain whether it will hit the big screen or streaming platforms instead.

1995’s Punjab film, helmed by director Honey Trehan, is a biographical drama centered around Sikh activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, who disappeared in September ’95. The movie has faced numerous delays due to its clash with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). As reported by OTT Play, the film was finally submitted for certification review in December 2022. Following this, the CBFC recommended several alterations, including a potential name change for the movie as it alludes to Khalra’s year of passing. Mid-Day also reported that approximately 120 edits were suggested by the CBFC for the film.
