As a seasoned gamer with a knack for keeping my fingers on the pulse of the music industry, I must say I’m quite intrigued by this upcoming collaboration between Quavo and Lenny Kravitz. The rapper-singer duo seems to be crafting something truly unique here, given their contrasting yet complementary styles.
Recently, Quavo has been quite active in collaborations. He’s just released songs with Lana Del Rey and Peso Pluma this summer. On Instagram, he’s given a sneak peek of an upcoming single where he teams up with another top-tier artist: Lenny Kravitz.
It appears that Quavo’s new song, often referred to as “FLY,” has been confirmed for release this coming Friday on streaming platforms. A sneak peek of the track, featuring a notable sample from Lenny Kravitz’s “Fly Away,” was shown in the latest clip, with Kravitz and Quavo walking towards the camera, offering one of the longest previews yet.

Quavo raps, “I can sense the momentum, I’m yearning to soar (I’m yearning to soar), Let’s get excited, let’s get tipsy, let’s reach new heights (Let’s reach new heights). But no need for a plane (Phew), I’m comfortably seated in the jetway. You already know our destination (Go), that direction (Top) is where we’re bound.”
Last week, the rapper from Migos posted the initial black-and-white sneak peek of his upcoming track, accompanied with the message “Flyest in the room, you just passed the moon… Fly’n Soon!!!” He later shared more glimpses into the making of the music video, writing “This Is Not a VS!!!”, as the video focuses on Lenny Kravitz playing the guitar.
Keep an eye out for Quavo and Kravitz’s “FLY” which drops everywhere this Friday, August 9.
