As a dedicated fan of animation and voice acting, I’m thrilled to see Rachel Zegler take on the lead role in “Spellbound.” Her journey to save her parents and kingdom is not only an exciting adventure but also a testament to her determination and bravery.
In the initial preview for “Spellbound,” Netflix and Skydance Animation’s forthcoming production, Rachel Zegler works diligently to rescue her parents.
In a gentle retelling:
1. Apart from DreamWorks Animation regulars like John Lithgow, Jenifer Lewis, Nathan Lane, and Tituss Burgess, the voice cast also includes some notable names. In charge of this project is co-director Vicky Jenson, best known for her work on “Shrek.” The script is written by Lauren Hynek & Elizabeth Martin, with additional contributions from Julia Miranda.
The upcoming animation film is attributed to its creator at Skydance Animation, unnamed but known for producing Pixar classics like Toy Story and Cars. John Lasseter, now part of the team as a producer, collaborates on this project with David Ellison from Skydance, along with Dana Goldberg and Bruce Anderson. The music is composed by Alan Menken, with songs penned by Menken and Glenn Slater.
“Spellbound” is set to premiere on November 22nd, picking up where Skydance’s preceding animated feature, “Luck,” left off. In the pipeline are upcoming projects such as “Pookoo” and “Ray Gunn.”
