Raj Kundra denies association with arrested Bangladeshi adult star; calls allegations made in his name ‘false, disturbing’

As a fervent admirer of the captivating world of entertainment, I find myself deeply engrossed in the intriguing saga unfolding around Raj Kundra and the Bangladeshi adult star, Riya Arvind Barde aka Arohi Barde. The whirlwind of accusations, denials, and investigations have left me spellbound, much like a page-turner novel that I simply can’t put down!

Bangladeshi actress Riya Arvind Barde, known as Arohi Barde, and Banna Sheikh were recently apprehended in Ulhasnagar, Maharashtra, for allegedly residing illegally in India with falsified papers. Some additional reports also suggested that Barde had collaborated with Raj Kundra Productions and contributed to certain projects. However, the businessman has since refuted these speculations.

In a conversation with HT City, Raj Kundra expressed his distress over the unfounded accusations being spread about him. He further clarified, “Contrary to rumors, I have never encountered the person in question, nor have I ever owned or been associated with any production company that this individual has worked for.

Referring to the claims as ‘unfounded’, Raj stated that these reports aren’t just harming his reputation but they are also trying to leverage his name for ‘sensationalism and increased media attention’. Kundra insists on maintaining the highest standards of integrity in his businesses and won’t tolerate any such baseless accusations.

According to Prashant Patil, Kundra’s lawyer, there seems to be a deliberate intention behind tarnishing my client’s reputation by involving them in a contentious case where they have no involvement whatsoever. To curb such malicious activities that include spreading offensive content on social media platforms, my clients are promptly filing criminal charges with the Cyber Crime division of Mumbai police, under the relevant provisions of the Information and Technology Act.

Instead of directly demanding immediate arrests of individuals spreading false information, Patil plans to pursue legal action by filing a defamation suit worth Rs 100 crores in the Bombay High Court against the media outlets that have published this misleading news.

It took a considerable amount of time for the authorities to apprehend Riya due to legal proceedings. The police reports disclosed that an inquiry into Riya Barde’s identity started over a year ago, as her birth certificate, school leaving certificate, and passport all listed different places of origin.

Previously unreported, Riya Barde had been arrested by Mumbai police in an earlier incident connected to a prostitution case under the Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act. This is now the first instance where her name has made national news.
