Rajkummar Rao did not have sangeet or haldi in his wedding with Patralekhaa and the reason is too cool to miss

Rajkummar Rao, a popular Bollywood actor, has provided us with numerous successful movies, and fans are equally eager for his upcoming project titled “Bhool Chuk Maaf.” In this film, he will be joined by Wamiqa Gabbi, who gained fame from Baby John. The movie is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on May 16, foregoing a theatrical release. Recently, he shared insights about his wedding with actress Patralekhaa. Instead of following traditional sangeet and haldi ceremonies, they opted for themed parties to mark their special occasion.

During an interview with IANS, Rajkummar Rao reminisced about his wedding to Patralekhaa, stating that unlike traditional ceremonies such as sangeet and haldi, their wedding was simply a series of celebratory events.

Additionally, he mentioned that they celebrated with gatherings during the day and night, followed by a festivity after the wedding. He also noted that these celebrations included themed events such as a pool party and a white-themed party.

In a different wording, when asked if making the film Bhool Chuk Maaf was like a celebration due to its focus on a wedding, the actor from Stree 2 responded by saying that they only had parties in the evenings on set because of the intense heat during the daytime.

The shooting occurred in May-June, yet even with air conditioners operating, the team found it unbearably hot. Rajkummar remarked that the entire process was enjoyable, offering a mix of on-set camaraderie and genuine enthusiasm for their craft. He stated, “There’s no trace of pretentiousness here. Everyone cherishes their work, approaching it with pure passion.

Initially scheduled for a theater release on May 9, Rajkummar Rao’s upcoming film Bhool Chuk Maaf has been pushed back once more. Instead, it will now be premiering directly on Amazon Prime Video starting from May 16.

In addition to the lead actor, the movie features Wamiqa Gabbi, Sanjay Mishra, Seema Pahwa, Zakir Hussain, Raghubir Yadav, Ishtiyak Khan, and Anubha Fatehpuria in significant roles. The film is directed by Karan Sharma and produced by Dinesh Vijan. The plot centers around a wedding that takes an unexpected turn during the Haldi ceremony.

For those not in the know, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa initially met on a music video project and started dating back in 2010. After eleven years together, they held a private wedding ceremony in Chandigarh on November 15, 2021.
