When queried if these trials ever disturbed him personally, Rakesh confessed that he often empathized deeply with his son. He explained, “I was saddened because he had so much to express, he was so well-read and intelligent, but his stuttering held him back.
Reflecting on a memory from my trip to Dubai, I recounted an amusing incident involving Hrithik Roshan’s struggle with pronunciation while speaking to a crowd. He found himself tripping over the ‘D’ in ‘Dubai’, and as a result, he spent time secluded in a restroom, diligently practicing those two sentences: “Thank you Dubai”.
Rakesh Roshan expressed empathy for the struggles faced by the war actor from the 20’s, recognizing that even though he was progressive-minded, there was always an obstacle preventing him from moving forward. Yet, Hrithik’s resilience in conquering his speech difficulties remained steadfast.
In his dedication to his craft, the filmmaker revealed he established a rigorous daily schedule, kicking off each day by reading news in various languages such as English, Hindi, and Urdu out loud. Over time, this consistent practice proved fruitful, and Rakesh proudly acknowledged that for the past decade or so, Hrithik has been speaking fluently without any stuttering whatsoever.
Simultaneously, on his career path, Hrithik Roshan is gearing up for the much awaited War 2, scheduled for release in 2025. He will reprise his character as Agent Kabir in the follow-up to the action-packed thriller.
