As a long-time hip hop fan and follower of Rakim’s illustrious career, I am thrilled to witness the return of one of the genre’s true legends with his latest album “G.O.D.’S NETWORK (REB7RTH)”. Forty years after his groundbreaking collaboration with Eric B., Rakim is still pushing boundaries and challenging the status quo.
Forty years have passed since Rakim and Eric B. released their groundbreaking album, “Paid In Full.” Now, Rakim is back with a new masterpiece titled “G.O.D.’S NETWORK (REB7RTH),” marking his fourth solo project and first complete album in fifteen years.
Together with Eric, Rakim became known as a significant duo in ’90s hip-hop, challenging the norm by delivering carefully crafted, thoughtful raps rather than relying on impromptu flows. Their unique approach showcased poetic lyricism and clever rhymes, making a notable impact on the scene.
In his latest album, he collaborates with a few contemporary artists who have sadly passed away, such as Nipsey Hussle, DMX, and Fred the Godson. Additionally, he teams up with some rappers who rose to fame alongside him, like Snoop Dogg and Method Man.
I’m grateful and humbled to have the opportunity to display my production skills on this project, alongside the world-renowned lyricism I’m known for, and collaborating with some of the greatest talents in the game. It’s a true blessing.
Stream Rakim’s new album G.O.D.’S NETWORK (REB7RTH) everywhere now.
