Rakul Preet Singh says she’s not someone ‘jo bitter hoke beth jaayega’ for losing films because of nepotism

As an admirer of Rakul Preet Singh, I am continually impressed by her grace and resilience. Her journey in the film industry, from Tamil and Telugu movies to Bollywood, is nothing short of inspiring. Despite facing challenges and setbacks, she maintains a positive outlook and refuses to be consumed by bitterness.

Rakul Preet Singh, primarily known for her roles in Tamil and Telugu films, initially entered Bollywood with the 2014 movie Yaariyan. Since then, she has also acted in Hindi movies such as De De Pyaar De, Runway 34, Doctor G, Thank God, and Chhatriwali. Currently, Rakul is preparing for De De Pyaar De 2 alongside Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan. The actress recently shared her thoughts on nepotism during a discussion about why she doesn’t harbor resentment over losing films in her career.

On The Ranveer Show, Rakul Preet Singh discussed nepotism and acknowledged that she has lost film roles in the past. She reminisced about conversations with her father when she considered joining the military. The actress prefers not to harbor bitterness, as she feels those projects weren’t suited for her.

In response to being drafted into the army, Rakul mentioned that her father had previously served and shared his experiences with her. This exposure to nepotism, she stated, did not particularly bother her. Although she has lost roles in films, she is not someone who would let such setbacks make her bitter. She may have simply not been meant for those specific opportunities.

The actress from Doctor G highlighted the importance of recognizing that missed chances are inevitable for growth. Rakul Preet Singh agreed, using an example from the medical field. She explained that if a doctor is not selected for a board position and someone else takes it instead, then it’s just part of life.

Rakul went on to express her conviction in assisting her future children when they’re in need, emphasizing that she wouldn’t turn them away. The actress made it clear that she won’t make them struggle or gamble for opportunities. She further added that she intends to be there for them, offering support whenever possible. Connecting the dots, Rakul stated that if a child of a star has an easier path into films, the success is largely due to their parents who have toiled diligently throughout their lives. (97 words)
