Fitness expert Pradeep Bhatia, renowned for his work with numerous celebrities, has been the trainer for stars such as Ranbir Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh, Vineet Kumar Singh, among others. Recently, he shared insights into training Ranbir for Rockstar and how he successfully brought Ranbir’s weight down from 74 kg to 67 kg for the film. Additionally, Bhatia revealed that Diljit lost approximately 15 kg to achieve a college boy look in Soorma.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d say that when I worked with Ranbir Kapoor on the film Rockstar, we aimed to help him convincingly portray his character’s hardship phase by helping him lose approximately six kilograms. To accomplish this, we started by assessing his current weight of 74 kg and then strategized a plan to get him down to around 67-68 kg. This transformation was achieved primarily through the elimination of carbohydrates from his diet and a reduction in non-vegetarian consumption.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve had the privilege of not only training Ranbir Kapoor but also working alongside the remarkable Diljit Dosanjh – an actor and singer whose passion for his art is truly inspiring. I hold him in high esteem due to his boundless energy and relentless commitment to his craft, a combination that sets him apart from many others in the industry.
Pradeep Bhatia mentioned that Diljit needed to build the athletic physique of a hockey player for Soorma, while Amar Singh Chamkila underwent an even more extreme change. He stated, “He had to shed 15 kg to appear like a college student.” Additionally, his fitness trainer spoke highly of him, saying, “His dedication is unwavering—he’d rise early for workouts, manage his diet, film scenes, and find time for his music. He’s truly a remarkable creation.
The trainer also provided details about training Vineet Kumar Singh for the movie Chhaava, featuring Vicky Kaushal. Emphasizing on the actor’s dedication, he mentioned that Vineet adhered to a strict diet rich in clean carbs but devoid of fats. Being a vegetarian, he eliminated meat from his meals entirely, yet he remained steadfast in his fitness endeavors.
Additionally, the fitness trainer disclosed that Vineet encountered substantial obstacles, such as two severe incidents – falling off a horse and getting hurt during a sword-fighting scene. Yet, these setbacks didn’t discourage him. Regardless of his injuries, he tackled each gym session with resolve, constantly prepared to adapt workouts to continue making progress.
Regarding his professional commitments, Ranbir Kapoor has an enticing array of movies coming up. In the near future, he will appear in Love & War alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. This movie, which revolves around a love triangle set against the background of war, is currently being filmed and is scheduled for a cinema release on March 20, 2026.
In addition to his role, he’ll star as the main character in Ramayana, one of Bollywood’s grandest mythological movies ever made, under the direction of Nitesh Tiwari. This movie boasts a talented cast, including Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, and Arun Govil. The first part is scheduled to hit theaters on Diwali 2026, with the second part coming in 2027. Notably, he’ll reprise his role in Animal Park, the long-awaited sequel to Animal as well.
