Ranveer Singh ‘looks fickle as if he will con somebody’ says Mukesh Khanna; reveals why he can’t play Shaktimaan

As an ardent admirer of Bollywood, I must say that Ranveer Singh has undeniably made his mark with his diverse roles and unparalleled acting prowess. His transformative ability to slip into various characters, from the charming lover boy to the dynamic historical leader, is truly commendable.

In the course of his prolific acting career, Ranveer Singh has taken on a range of diverse roles. He’s played characters from the average Joe to a romantic lead and an inspiring historical figure. His versatility in acting has been widely acknowledged. However, it was his nude photoshoot for a magazine that generated quite a buzz. While some admired his boldness, others were taken aback, expressing confusion about his actions. Among them was veteran actor Mukesh Khanna, who, despite Ranveer’s efforts to persuade him to play the role of Shaktimaan, has shown reservations due in part to Ranveer’s previous photoshoot.

In conversation with Bollywood Thikana, Mukesh Khanna, renowned for his role in Shaktimaan, shared an interesting tidbit: Ranveer Singh spent three hours persuading him to take on the iconic character. However, the seasoned actor feels that it doesn’t show on Ranveer’s face what it takes to embody Shaktimaan. “Ranveer seems unreliable, as if he could deceive someone,” Mukesh Khanna of Waaris commented further, praising Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani for being a fantastic actor.

Despite the veteran actor believing no one else in the film industry has the same energy as Singh, he hasn’t endorsed him for the part. Khanna expressed his disapproval of him after seeing a particular photoshoot, exclaiming “What on earth are you doing?” as he put it.

Later in the conversation, Mukesh Khanna stated that after complimenting Ranveer when he approached him for persuasion, rumors spread suggesting that he had been chosen to play Shaktimaan. However, since he hadn’t made a decision due to a contract, he shared a video to clarify that he hadn’t confirmed the lead actor. Therefore, an official announcement will have to be patiently awaited for some time.

Right now, Ranveer Singh is spending his days doting on his wife Deepika Padukone and their new baby girl. At the same time, he’s preparing for his upcoming role in Rohit Shetty’s action movie, “Singham Again,” which will hit theaters this Diwali.
