As a gamer with a penchant for soulful melodies and poignant lyrics, I must say that Ravyn Lenae‘s sophomore album, “Bird’s Eye,” has truly caught my attention. With its introspective narrative and the artist’s growth evident throughout, it’s like embarking on a journey through her life, much like leveling up in a game I’ve been playing for years.

For her second album, Ravyn Lenae has stepped into uncharted realms. Building upon a foundation she laid with her debut studio project HYPNOS, her sophomore LP titled Bird’s Eye showcases Lenae at the height of her creative powers, exhibiting a newfound self-assurance in her abilities and focusing solely on her own talents to further her impressive artistic growth.

In a tribute to her younger self, Lenae weaves through emotions and moments significant to her teenage years across her album, titled “Bird’s Eye.” The LP has 11 tracks and runs for approximately 35 minutes. Childish Gambino lends two powerful contributions on the tracks “One Wish” and Ty Dolla $ign graces “Dream Girl,” but these stars do not entirely shape the album. Reconnecting with the fundamental aspects of who I am has enabled me to fully accept and be proud of my origins, and it brings me closer to understanding where I’m headed.”
