Reanimal brings the horror from Little Nightmares devs

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I’ve seen the evolution of horror-adventure games from their humble beginnings to the immersive experiences we have today. Tarsier Studios, known for their hauntingly beautiful Little Nightmares series, has caught my attention once again with their latest creation – Reanimal.

Tarsier Studios, creators of the chilling Little Nightmares duology, are amping up the fright factor with their latest announcement – a new game titled “Reanimal.”

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that the studio initially launched the first two Little Nightmares games in 2017 and 2021. However, the third installment of this chilling trilogy will now be developed by Supermassive Games, renowned for their work on titles like Sackboy and Until Dawn.

I’m thrilled to announce that Tarsier Studios is ramping up its game with ReAnimal! This new creation seems to embody all the captivating elements of Little Nightmares and then some, making me even more excited for its release as a fan.

At Gamescom, I discovered Reanimal, a game that cozies up in the “comfort games” category, but instead of wrapping myself in my favorite warm and cozy socks for this one, I found myself reaching for an additional blanket to hide behind!

Designed for the latest gaming platforms (Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 5, and PC), Reanimal features a duo of minuscule adversaries navigating an island teeming with massive creatures and eerie figures. These terrors exploit the darkness, lurking beyond your characters headlight to surprise-attack, breaking through walls to strike.

The main characters, two spirited siblings, will journey through their imagined underworld, rescuing companions from the menacing attacks of these dreadful creatures.

As someone who’s spent countless hours immersed in the gaming world, I can confidently say that this upcoming title, Tarsier, won’t be categorized under the Little Nightmares franchise. Instead, it will carve its own distinct path as Reanimal, a standalone game that promises to bring something fresh and unique to the table. The anticipation is palpable, and I can hardly wait to see what this new adventure holds!

While there’s no set release date for Reanimal as of now, you can add it to your Steam Wishlist. It’s designed to accommodate gameplay between two players in a local environment.
