Rebecca Hall is joining forces again with director Adam Wingard, whom she worked with on Godzilla vs. Kong, for the high-octane, suspenseful film titled Onslaught.
The actress, who recently debuted her real-life story “Peter Hujar’s Day” at Sundance, is once again collaborating with Dan Stevens, her co-star from the Monsterverse, as they both work on an A24 action thriller currently in production.
Adria Arjona plays the role of a mother living in a trailer, who uses her unique abilities to safeguard her loved ones when she encounters danger that has managed to break free from a hidden military facility. The cast list also includes UFC Champion Alex “Poatan” Pereira, Michael Biehn, Eric Wareheim and Reginald VelJohnson.
In this rephrased version, the focus is clearer on Adria Arjona’s character and her actions, and the inclusion of the other actors is concise and easy to understand.
Details regarding the character played by Hall were not accessible, however, reports indicate it is connected to the role portrayed by Stevens. In this story, Stevens embodies a German scientist involved in experiments with an eventual escape.
Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett are set to create the film “Onslaught” under their production company banner, Ryder Picture Company, in partnership with A24. Additionally, Alexander Black is producing for Lyrical Media. Wingard and producer Jeremy Platt will also produce through their newly established production company, Breakaway Civilization, together with Barrett.
Jon Rosenberg and Natalie Sellers from Lyrical, along with A24, are jointly overseeing the production. These two entities are also collaborating on the financial aspects of the project.
Hall was among the prominent human actors in the two blockbuster films, “Godzilla vs. Kong,” directed by Wingard. Apart from “Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Empire,” Hall also collaborated with Stevens on the 2017 romantic drama, “Permission.
The current role for the British actress includes her appearance in the BBC show, “The Listeners,” and she’s also set to join the cast of Ryan Murphy’s FX series, “The Beauty.” This star-studded lineup includes Evan Peters, Ashton Kutcher, Anthony Ramos, and Jeremy Pope. The series is inspired by the Image Comics title.
In the upcoming scene, I’ll be making an appearance in “Ella McCay,” a heartfelt dramedy directed by James L. Brooks for 20th Century Studios. This star-studded production boasts Emma Mackey, Jamie Lee Curtis, Woody Harrelson, and Ayo Edebiri, among other talented actors. Can’t wait to join this amazing cast!
Hall is repped by Julian Belfrage Associates in London, WME, and Hansen Jacobson.
