Reese Cooper FW25 Lives in the Open Air

Following the release of his second capsule under the Outdoor Supply branding a month ago, outdoor-focused designer Reese Cooper is back to showcase his main label’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, called “En Plein Air” (which means “In the Open Air” in French).

Essentially, Cooper described the label’s latest philosophy as a contrast between design elements, materials, and clothing style, and their surrounding context. In essence, his designs encompass classic military-style silhouettes crafted from woven houndstooth fabric, trench coats, and tailored trousers made of three-layer waterproof nylon. Additionally, double-breasted wool blazers incorporate adjustable bungee cords similar to those found in tactical equipment. Quarter-zip hoodies feature curved, asymmetrical zippers along the chest; denim outfits prioritize spacious storage pockets, and fleece jackets utilize utility belts across the chest.

Typically, Cooper took the photos for the lookbook himself. Accompanied by his model, he undertook an eight-hour round trip drive to the location that served as the muse for this collection last year, as the designer detailed. At the place where it all began, Cooper’s collection undeniably reflects the passion of a nature enthusiast—a collection rooted in a color and textural scheme inspired by the natural world, complete with gear designed for outdoor exploration.
