Remember the OTHER Melania Trump Documentary?

Former and future First Lady Melania Trump remains a mystery for many Americans.

To begin with, the former model has mostly stayed out of the limelight. Unfortunately, women’s publications have not been interested in featuring her during the first four years of her husband’s presidency. It’s likely that a similar lack of coverage will occur during his upcoming presidential term.

Even her memoir kept many personal details out of reach.

The announcement of an official documentary about Melania Trump by Amazon is explained here. This film, which is yet to be named, will reportedly be directed by Brett Rather, who has previously been canceled. It’s expected to premiere in the latter part of the year, as suggested by news reports.

It’s not the first documentary on the subject, though.

2020’s movie “Searching for Melania Trump” delves beneath her polished public persona (on the surface, that is). However, it seems to expose less about Melania herself and more about the documentarians and their regrettable lack of thorough research in practice.

The film is available for Prime Video subscribers and via YouTube at the Hipstr channel.

The movie is so thin it’s almost at the one-hour limit, but just manages to stay on the right side of it. It’s filled with unnecessary content, and for every fair comment, there are many more that are unkind or trivial.

Our adventure begins in Slovenia, the birthplace of Melania Trump. However, we won’t linger long; instead, we swiftly make our way to New York City, where the aspiring model tasted a measure of achievement.

How much? The documentary doesn’t sweat such details. Go Google it, perhaps?

It’s as common as hearing about lovely ladies and the skeptical side of modeling – a realization not so different from seeing the sun rise each day.

It’s been mentioned that Melania Trump was absent for approximately three years, leaving people wondering about her possible destinations. While Russia might just be speculation on our part.

Of course.

In the movie, it’s implied that the previous model gradually transforms into an idealized arm candy, a recurring theme supported by archival footage and grudges.

Few interviews are conducted. Briefly, we encounter an ex-boyfriend who deals with real estate in Palm Beach, as well as a photographer who describes the younger Melania as calculated and intentional.

Later, we get a protracted profile of The Trumpettes, MAGA super fans who adore all things Trump.

Like the First Lady.

Director Laura Haim implies that it’s Melania Trump’s destiny to grow older and attend flashy Florida events alone, following the departure of her husband, Donald Trump, from this worldly life.

There’s a good chance that the true personality of Melania Trump is rather simple or straightforward, or conversely, she might be far more intelligent and charming than people commonly believe. However, the movie doesn’t do a great job at unraveling its main enigma.

Instead, we encounter a woman around 40 years old who chooses cosmetic procedures to resemble Melania Trump more closely. Hold on, that’s enough information for now! We’re discovering far too many details.

In a captivating twist, the most intriguing scenes occur when movie creators prompt Trump supporters about their reasons for supporting the potential future First Lady. These prospective voters often attribute numerous qualities to her.

Graceful. Elegant. Kind. Patient.

It’s all true, to some extent, but it’s more wish casting than anything else.

In this piece, there’s a strange blend of formal respect and casual narrative. Unexpectedly, the discussion shifts to Christina Hagan, a former state representative, who seems to have been influenced by Melania Trump’s role within the Republican Party. At times, it expresses empathy.

Perhaps the story could have been more effective if it had fully embraced its scandalous foundation, taking a bold approach rather than holding back. You might want to inquire from Michael Moore about his methods in such situations.

Ka-ching!

Instead, the staid presentation clashes with the uppercuts in motion.

The movie pays particular attention to subtle occurrences during the early Trump presidency, such as the First Lady subtly dismissing her husband’s hand at a public occasion and an action that served as a rebuke to the liberal media.

Scandals, all. At least, according to the narration.

The wittiest analysis often originates from a journalist at The Daily Beast, who leans to the left politically. She tends to reflect the typical perspective when commenting on the First Lady as well as women within the Republican party. Is it necessary for everyone to take her words with a pinch of salt?

The independent film maintains a professional quality in its production. Its music selections are equally captivating, sometimes even whimsical. Despite some gaps in detail, it doesn’t appear hastily made. However, the absence of certain elements can be disconcerting.

You may know less about the First Lady after watching “Looking for Melania Trump.”
