Ressence Launches a Hyper-Minimal TYPE 3 Model At Geneva Watch Days

As a seasoned watch enthusiast with a penchant for minimalistic timepieces, I find myself utterly captivated by Ressence’s latest offering – the TYPE 3 BB2. Having had the privilege of admiring various horological masterpieces, I must say that this model stands out in its understated elegance and technical prowess.

Moving back to Geneva Watch Days, Ressence introduces the latest addition to their collection – a TYPE 3 model in a single-colored design. This newcomer is one more piece that joins the ranks of Ressence’s distinctive oil-filled watches.

To devoted followers of the Belgian watch brand, the recently revealed TYPE 3 BB2 might appear reminiscent. However, despite sharing a comparable design, this latest model varies from the TYPE 3 Black introduced in 2022.

Refining its design, Ressence has simplified the color scheme on their TYPE 3 BB2 model, resulting in a more streamlined dial layout. This change complements the watch’s unique capability to minimize light distortion, a common issue with many timepieces due to light refraction. To boost the watch’s readability under various lighting conditions, the engraved markings are filled with premium Super-LumiNova®.

The new model maintains the same size and material consistency as previous TYPE 3 versions, featuring a 44mm case diameter and a DLC-coated titanium, spherical-shaped case. Housing this design is the ROCS 3.5 movement, an in-house patent, which includes Ressence’s Orbital Convex System. This mechanism provides power for 36 hours of uninterrupted operation.

The model TYPE 3 BB2 retails for approximately 38,200 Swiss Francs (around $45,343 USD) and can be purchased through authorized dealers of Ressence. For further details, please visit the official Ressence website.
