Revolution and Zenith Unveil the Chronomaster Revival A3818 “Cover Girl Carbon”

In collaboration with Zenith for a third time, Revolution has presented the Chronomaster Revival A3818 “Cover Girl Carbon”. This joint project is highlighted by Revolution as the “lightest chronograph watch in the world” currently, weighing only 55 grams on its carbon fiber velcro strap and 59 grams on its carbon fiber bracelet. The design is offered in three variations.

The new timepiece is enclosed within a tonneau-style case, reminiscent of the A3818 model from the ’70s, famously known as “Cover Girl” after it graced the cover of Manfred Rossler’s book, ZENITH: Swiss Watch Manufacture Since 1865. This iconic piece has been thoroughly modernized and reinvented using high-strength forged carbon fiber. The case, dial, pushers, and crown of the “Cover Girl Carbon” exhibit distinct striations in a gray-toned color scheme, with the exception being the slim movement compartment crafted from PVD-treated titanium.

This Zenith watch model shares the same beating heart as its other counterparts – the esteemed El Primero movement. It showcases a column wheel for a smooth clutch mechanism and boasts an impressive hourly vibration rate of 36,000 times per hour (vph). In the dark, Super-LumiNova markers, hands, integrated tachymeter and pulsometer scale, vintage-inspired “shark tooth” racing scale, and subdial markings offer a menacing yet useful glow.

On February 7 at 8 p.m. SGT/ 4 a.m. PT, the Zenith x Revolution Chronomaster Revival A3818 “Cover Girl Carbon” will go on sale to the public through Revolution’s online store. The price for each variant ranges from $12,320 – $27,210 USD, and they are all produced in limited quantities. There are 150 units of the standard dial on a carbon fiber-effect velcro strap available, while only 10 examples are offered for the ladder-style carbon fiber bracelet variant. Additionally, there’s a Hindu Arabic Dial edition that is limited to just 50 pieces.
