After many years of relentless work, dressing renowned celebrities, landing consecutive TV opportunities, and accumulating numerous brand partnerships, Brad Goreski found himself repeatedly asking the same thought: When will my big break come?

After many years in the fashion industry, the renowned stylist’s time to shine came when long-term client Demi Moore showcased her work for the film “The Substance” during awards season. This culminated on Hollywood’s grandest night, supporting a best actress Oscar nomination. Looking back on the whirlwind while accepting the “style curator of the year” award at the Daily Front Row’s Fashion Los Angeles awards ceremony held at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Thursday night.

2021 has been quite the rollercoaster ride for me, especially after an emotional tribute from my client Ashley Park. This year, I found myself deeply immersed in “The Substance” with Demi Moore, and let me tell you, it was one wild ride! It’s been a dream come true, but as some might say, not always easy sailing. There were times when I questioned my agent, Amy Sabel from The Wall Group, asking, “When will the big moment arrive?” She encouraged me to hang in there, reassuring me that it was on its way and that I’d have an incredible experience. True to her word, here we are!

Sabel’s wish was fulfilled when Goreski worked alongside Moore on many significant red carpet events, starting from the premiere of “The Substance” at Cannes Film Festival to Oscar night. In his gratitude, Goreski acknowledged Sabel and also his other clients, Kaley Cuoco and Rashida Jones. On the other hand, Park was emotional as she thanked Goreski for his kindness, humor, and resilience, and for being a source of support during her critical sepsis illness.

Even though Moore couldn’t attend the ceremony, she graced the Time100 gala in New York City instead, where she was recognized as one of the most influential people of 2025. To everyone’s delight, she sent a recorded message that played on the big screen, leaving Goreski and the room in surprise.

I’m really unable to attend tonight due to my circumstances, as it means everything to me to celebrate my friend, collaborator, style inspiration, Brad Goreski. I find it hard to express in words the depth of my feelings, the gratitude I have for you, the sheer joy I get from working with you. You always put the person first, knowing when to encourage a risk and when to provide reassurance. You make us feel amazing by making us feel beautiful. This past year has been an incredible journey, and tonight’s honor is well-deserved and long overdue.

Towards the end of his speech, Goreski thanked his mother Debby (who had flown in from Canada for this special event) for allowing him to play with Barbie dolls, and his sister Mandy for shielding him from those boys who disapproved of him playing with Barbie dolls. He also acknowledged the same group of boys who discouraged him from dressing in a manner he desired. Lastly, he dedicated his closing remarks to his Hollywood writer husband Gary Janetti.

I’ve been inspired by him to chase my dreams, and for the past year, I’ve studied every sketch, looked over every fitting photo, examined every swatch. He’s deeply invested in this process,” Goreski said with admiration. “You just bring so much joy into my life, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have you on my team.

The ceremony for the Daily Front Row, led by Matt Rogers, bestowed awards on various individuals. Adriana Lima was recognized as Fashion Comeback of the Year, Alexx Mayo received Makeup Artist of the Year, Betsey Johnson earned a Lifetime Achievement Award, Dimitris Giannetos was named Hairstylist of the Year, Genesis Webb won Music Stylist of the Year, Hailey Bieber secured the Beauty Innovator of the Year title, Tyra Banks received the Fashion Icon Award, and Wayman + Micah took home Men’s Stylist of the Year. The program was presented by Chappell Roan, Oscar winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Amanda Nunes, Beverly Johnson, Dixie D’Amelio, Jen Atkin, Lizzo, and Selma Blair.
