This year, California has been dealing with particularly intense wildfires, especially in the southern region, where flames have quickly swept through the Los Angeles region since January 7, as reported by The New York Times.

Under the influence of strong winds similar to a hurricane (Santa Ana winds), extremely dry air, and a long-lasting drought, the circumstances have grown increasingly severe. This has forced thousands of people to relocate from their homes and caused extensive property damage.

In simple terms, the organizations World Central Kitchen (which provides food to disaster zones) and GiveDirectly (that offers cash aid directly to affected communities) are going to receive funds from Ripple’s charitable contribution.
