As someone who grew up in the era of blockbusters, I can’t help but feel nostalgic when I think about the days of Harry Potter and Twilight. And now, it feels like I’m reliving those golden years with Robert Pattinson‘s latest projects!
It’s being speculated that this actor will feature in a new movie by A24 called “Primetime,” which seems to draw inspiration from NBC’s real-crime series, To Catch a Predator. This series was part of NBC’s Dateline news program and featured Chris Hansen as he exposed pedophiles live on camera. By luring adult predators into compromising situations, Hansen managed to catch their questionable behavior on film, often leading to arrests. Although the specific plot details of the upcoming A24 film are being kept secret, Deadline reports that it will be a fictional tale about a journalist aiming to revolutionize the television industry by delving into the world of crime.
Here are some details that have emerged about the project: Robert Pattinson is indeed involved, working alongside Brighton McCloskey under their production company Icki Eneo Arlo. Lance Oppenheim, a documentary filmmaker recognized for works like “Some Kind of Heaven” (2020), “Spermworld” (2024), and the HBO series “Ren Faire”, is set to direct and produce “Primetime”. Alongside him in these roles will be screenwriter Ajon Singh. In a new venture, Oppenheim is stepping into fiction with “Primetime”, an upcoming story that explores criminal activities linked to television production.
Additional names linked to the project are executive producers William Iannaccone and A.J. Bourscheid from Range, as well as Emily Hildner from Square Peg. The production team also consists of Brian Kavanaugh Jones, Fred Berger (from Range), Lars Knudsen, Ari Aster, and Tyler Campellone (all from Square Peg).
