Rumble Heroes, a unique combination of side-scrolling RPG and idle games, was quite unexpectedly successful due to its striking pixelated 2D graphics, convenient one-handed gameplay, and diverse exploration modes. It’s made a significant impact in the mobile RPG market. However, on a narrative level, the story is rather conventional – another princess being kidnapped, a common trope even dating back to Mario’s earlier adventures!
For all the laid-back gamers globally, you’ll find a variety of engaging gameplay options in this lavish game title. However, it’s important to note that while things may seem shiny on the surface, power creep becomes quite noticeable, and the developers aren’t hesitant about fostering it.
As a dedicated Rumble Heroes player, staying on top of the latest strategies about the meta heroes and teams is essential for me if I want to keep playing this game successfully over the long haul.
RUMBLE HEROES TIER LIST: RANKING THE BEST HEROES
When it comes to picking the best heroes in the game, the natural answer should be quality over quantity. Meaning, the higher their rarity, the stronger they are. Heroes come in four unique rarities – Legendary, Epic, Rare, and Uncommon. Their strength follows in descending order. You can check the rarity of the hero from the colour of their background.
The tale doesn’t end there, for veterans have pointed out that some Epic and Rare heroes are just as powerful as their top-tier counterparts, and in certain cases, even surpass them. This is because of something called “hero synergy.” Each hero possesses unique abilities that can fit seamlessly into various team setups.
We’ve put in a lot of effort to collect and organize data about the top heroes currently available. This tier list can help you discover where your preferred characters rank or simply give you an overall sense of who’s considered strong right now. Remember, everyone has experienced some rough luck with gacha games, but that’s just part of the fun! Once you acquire some high-tier heroes, the hardships will seem insignificant!
heads up: The team at Play Hard Lab frequently adjusts the balance of their characters during updates, so it’s suggested that you save this page for easy access as we will consistently update our rankings to reflect these changes.

If you ever find yourself requiring a healer, let me assure you that Righteous and Virtuous Saint Paul should be your first choice. Unlike typical knights, Paul wields not a sword but an enormous blessed iron hammer. Despite his barbaric appearance, he is far from savage; in fact, he’s quite wise and eloquent in combat. With him on your team, you can expect to deal massive area-of-effect damage to enemies while simultaneously keeping your allies healthy. His healing abilities are comparable to those of dedicated healers, and his offensive power is merely the icing on the cake.
Big Sickle Jennifer
looks just like the hero you would want if you ever dreamed about a female version of “Darth Vader”. Looks aside, she’s quite the beast on the battlefield. Jennifer launches waves of energy through slashing her scythe, inflicting massive damage to enemies hit, as well as making them bleed for a few seconds. She’s quite useful against bosses that require Bleeding mechanics against them, particularly world bosses that have huge HP pools, which explains her top position on our Rumble Heroes tier list.
2 A-Tier
Shotgun Gupi is an old man, but that’s just a cover! He’s as young at heart as one can get. And, he has a personal love for shooting as a sport. One of the first elders to join in on the scene when he sees injustice happening, Gupi uses a huge shotgun as his weapon of choice. His basic ability casts a singular buckshot aimed towards the enemies, dealing a chunk of damage. Gupi is also a well-planned adventurer, able to consume his energy in exchange for restoring Health over time.
If you’re aiming to hire a cowboy right from the Wild West, Double Gun Mary is your top choice! She’s incredibly skilled with firearms, often firing bullets without even taking aim. Her effectiveness as a long-range attacker is exceptional in the early to mid stages of the game due to her excellent attack speed and damage. Mary’s basic skill enables her to zero in on targets and unleash a relentless stream of damage in their direction.
3 B-Tier
- Saint Grace
- Skull Pop
- Backpack Chico
- Magic Shot Sally
- Manager Carolyn
- Turban Coby
- Epee Laura
- Brave Uva
Have you ever pondered stepping into an era of traditional tribal lifestyle? Meet Valiant Uva, a proud member of the tribe who cherishes it deeply! Regrettably, his innate instinct for hunting and causing harm remains quite potent, making him more of a liability than an asset. Nevertheless, there are times when aggression proves beneficial, particularly when dealing with unscrupulous kidnappers in need of a stern lesson. Uva’s fundamental skill enables him to launch a small area-of-effect attack that can contaminate enemies with the valuable Poison debuff. Moreover, he has mastered certain natural powers and obtained voodoo artifacts, enabling him to summon thorny barriers to damage foes from a distance.
Epee Laura might be one of the most intriguing heroes we have on this list. She’s not abysmally bad but definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed. She’s a classic case of “Oh Devs Why?”. Her abilities are quite amazing, as she can penetrate through targets, deal AoE-targeted damage, and even capable of dealing multi-hitting chain combos. Laura is done dirty by having an extremely low base stat line coupled with horrific damage multipliers. Nonetheless, they aren’t that bad if you’re still in the early-mid game. Might as well use her if you have her in your arsenal of heroes.
4 C-Tier
- Nudie Jack
- Ice Bobo
- Hero
- Strong Laura
- Whitehair Leo
- Diamond Bob
- Olive Cindy
- Orange Woody
- Big Hammer Joe
- Leaf Shot Tim
- Shadow Isaac
Indeed, it’s true that some of the lower-tiered heroes in Rumble Heroes are often criticized, but in truth, they can be quite effective when strategically paired within appropriate team setups. A prime example is none other than the enigmatic figure known as Ice Bobo, a snowboarding surfer-turned-knight who harnesses a surprising amount of power within his shield and swords, utilizing the Frostbite effect. This versatile hero is capable of controlling crowds effectively. Moreover, his second ability enhances team performance by granting allies a boost in attack power.
To tell the truth, I’m not particularly fond of pirates myself, but they do have an undeniable swagger about them! It appears that even Captain Big Hammer Joe has not received his fair share of admiration. However, he is quite robust, capable of withstanding significant damage and retaliating with area-of-effect (AoE) attacks. While hammers are typically associated with single-target strikes, Joe’s skills are all geared towards AoE damage.
