- Runes: Puzzle is a new rerelease of an oddball classic from iOS
- Move a cuboid block around a map and collect the other run-engraved blocks
- Ensure that you avoid various obstacles and cope with map-specific challenges
In the realm of iOS puzzle games, there’s a wide array to choose from. However, it’s the freshly launched ones that often stand out, offering unique and captivating experiences. Sometimes, these are games that initially failed to make waves but have been reimagined and re-released. Today, we’re focusing on one such game: Runes: Puzzle, now available on iOS!
In Runes, the fundamental mechanics are straightforward: You navigate your red block by flipping it to traverse squares and link it to essential blocks. However, similar to a freshly launched iOS puzzle game I mentioned earlier called Link All, the real challenge arises from the intricate twists in this specific formula.
Every realm possesses unique dynamics, and navigating through four realms along with more than 70 main stages and an extra five difficulties presents a wealth of activities to engage in.

Despite the initial developer’s reluctance to call it a re-release, I find the updated version quite impressive! Yet, it remains to be seen if the gameplay will be engaging enough to keep players hooked.
After some time, repeatedly watching the blocks flip might become monotonous, but since I’m curious about what each of the unique worlds has to offer with their variations on basic mechanisms, it seems intriguing enough to warrant exploration.
