As a seasoned moviegoer and literature enthusiast, I must say that this weekend’s release of “It Ends with Us” has truly stirred my anticipation. Having followed Colleen Hoover’s works for quite some time now, I was eager to witness how her captivating story would unfold on the big screen, and the casting choices have not disappointed me in the least!
As a longtime avid reader and moviegoer, I must say that I was thrilled when I learned that one of my favorite books, “It Ends with Us” by Colleen Hoover, was being adapted into a film. Having grown up reading Hoover’s novels and connecting deeply with her characters, I couldn’t wait to see how the story would translate onto the big screen. And when I heard that Blake Lively had been cast as Lily Bloom, my excitement reached an all-time high.
Where Have You Seen Justin Baldoni?
For a considerable period, Justin Baldoni has been an active player in the entertainment sector. Initially, he landed minor roles or recurring parts on television shows such as “The Young and the Restless,” “JAG,” “Charmed,” “Everwood,” and even “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.” However, his most notable small-screen appearance remains Rafael Solano from the successful CW dramedy show “Jane the Virgin.” In the movie industry, Baldoni has created a stir, though perhaps not quite as conventionally as one might expect.
In terms of my career as a gamer who dabbles in the world of entertainment, I’ve found myself more behind the scenes than in front of the camera. I’ve directed and produced more projects than acted on them. Some of my most notable works include directing and producing the romantic films “Five Feet Apart” and “Cloud”, both of which I’m incredibly proud to have been part of. I’ve also earned Executive Producer credits for shows like “Ezra” and even lent my skills to Chris Pratt’s “The Garfield Movie”. When it comes to acting on the silver screen, you might recognize me from smaller roles in movies such as “The House Bunny”, “After Dusk They Come”, and “Minkow”.
It’s quite plausible to think that “It Ends with Us” represents Justin Baldoni’s most extensive work in cinema so far, given his roles as both an actor and director, along with production duties. Although gossip has circulated regarding a dispute between Baldoni and Blake Lively, these claims remain unverified. However, when asked about collaborating with Lively, Baldoni expressed admiration for her and stated he’d be open to working with her and her husband Ryan Reynolds in the future – should an opportunity arise. Time will tell if Lively decides to team up with Baldoni again, along with the next actor we’re going to talk about.
What Does Brandon Sklenar’s Past Work Entail?
Brandon Sklenar’s fame has significantly grown over the last ten years. Initially known for his roles in short films, he later secured parts in the horror movie “Temple” and the biopic “Mapplethorpe”. Sklenar also played Bobby Prentace in Adam McKay’s “Vice” and George Gay in the historical drama “Midway”. His other film appearances include “The Big Ugly”, “Futra Days”, “Karen”, and potentially, he may reach even greater heights with his latest project, “It Ends with Us”. Sklenar has been quite active during the film’s promotional tour, even being interviewed by Ryan Reynolds, Tammy Reynolds, and Hugh Jackman.
More on It Ends with Us
Critics Have Seen Blake Lively’s It Ends With Us, And They’re Praising Her Emotional Performance
Besides appearing in films, this alumnus of Indigo Valley has also left an impression on television. He’s featured as a guest star in several well-known shows such as Truth Be Told, New Girl, Westworld, and Walker: Independence. A while back, he was also part of the cast for The Offer, where he portrayed Burt Reynolds in the Godfather-focused limited series. However, his most significant achievement is starring as Spencer Dutton in the prequel to Yellowstone titled 1923, which can be streamed with a Paramount+ subscription.
Without a doubt, Justin Baldoni and Brandon Sklenar have been quite active in their creative pursuits over the past few years. It Ends with Us could be an excellent platform for them to demonstrate their artistic skills. However, I’d recommend exploring their previous works as well, if possible.
Moving on, the stage adaptation of “It Ends with Us,” unlike the original book, is currently running in theaters. Therefore, you have a chance to watch the two principal actors alongside Blake Lively on screen.
