RZA Is Releasing a Classical Album ‘A Ballet Through Mud’

As a huge fan of RZA and his incredible musical versatility, I am absolutely thrilled to hear about his latest project that showcases yet another side of his artistic prowess – classical composition. The image of him conducting an orchestra as they perform his ballet score is simply breathtaking.

I’m in awe of RZA’s versatility as an artist. He never ceases to amazes me, whether he’s spitting rhymes with the Wu-Tang Clan or crafting movie soundtracks like Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill.” His latest creation takes things to a new level for me as a fan – RZA stepping into the realm of classical composition.

As someone who has always been drawn to the rich tapestry of classical music, I find myself utterly intrigued by RZA’s upcoming album, titled “A Ballet Through Mud.” Having grown up in the projects myself, I can relate to his journey from humble beginnings to performing in prestigious concert halls. The fact that this composition was first brought to life as a ballet last year, graced by the Colorado Symphony Orchestra in Denver, only adds to my excitement.

During the initial stages of the pandemic, RZA discovered old notebooks containing adolescent lyrics that he had previously forgotten about, and he decided to work on a new project based on those writings.

“Throughout my life, I’ve been creating without realizing it at first. The foundation for ‘A Ballet Through Mud’ stems from my teenage years, yet its messages are relatable – love, discovery, and excitement. I aspire for this composition to serve as a catalyst, transforming everyday experiences such as a trip to the grocery store or dining with loved ones into something enchanting.
