Several days have passed since Saif Ali Khan was attacked with multiple stab wounds at his residence in Bandra, and the Mumbai Police successfully apprehended a 30-year-old suspect who admitted to the crime. Key evidence obtained from him confirmed that the accused, Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad, is a Bangladeshi national who entered India unlawfully. When news of this recent event reached actress Bhagyashree, she was taken aback by surprise.
Speaking about the high-profile case involving ANI, the actress from Maine Pyar Kiya expressed her shock upon learning about the incident, as Mumbai is generally perceived as one of the safest cities in India. “We who reside in Mumbai are greatly surprised by this occurrence,” she said, adding that since then, everyone has been on edge. She praised the Mumbai Police for their tireless efforts to apprehend the perpetrator and suggested that now that he’s been caught, the judicial proceedings should commence swiftly.
The actress shared her thoughts, stating that when such events occur in Mumbai, both locals and city dwellers feel anxious. However, it’s not solely about Bollywood; it’s about ensuring the safety of everyone. She further emphasized that the safety of all becomes questionable, particularly if an immigrant commits such acts. In such cases, securing our Indian borders becomes crucial and highly significant.
Reports say that Shehzad, allegedly, attempted a burglary at Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s home. After unlawfully entering India, he spent two months working in a Mumbai restaurant before being let go by his employer in December 2024. During this time, he disguised himself using the name Bijoy Das. Fortunately, Saif is no longer in harm’s way and is anticipated to be released from Lilavati Hospital shortly.
