It was reported that Saif Ali Khan was wounded after being repeatedly stabbed at his home in Bandra. She also made it clear that she hasn’t been taken into custody or arrested by the Mumbai Police.
In police reports, it is stated that the individual arrested for suspectedly assaulting Saif Ali Khan is believed to have received assistance from a family member residing in West Bengal. This relative allegedly aided him in acquiring a SIM card by using another woman’s Aadhaar number. Police officials have since traveled to West Bengal to question both the accused’s relative, Shariful Islam Shehzad, and the woman whose identity was misused for this purpose.
At first, it appeared that Khukumoi Jahangir Sheikh was taken into custody regarding the case. But in a recent update from India Today, she asserted that her phone was stolen instead of being seized, and she refutes claims of being detained or arrested by the Mumbai Police.
Additionally, the report disclosed that the Mumbai authorities are presently focused on uncovering the intermediary who aided the suspect’s entry into India.
On the 16th of January in the morning, it is said that Saif was supposedly assaulted by an intruder armed with a knife at his Bandra residence. This intruder, who inflicted multiple stab wounds on the actor, including near his neck and spine, seemingly aimed for a break-in.
In a hurry, he was taken to Lilavati Hospital for immediate treatment. There, he endured two operations and stayed there for five days in recuperation. On January 21, he was released from the hospital. The doctors expressed their relief that he managed to escape serious, life-threatening injuries.
On January 19th, authorities in Mumbai apprehended Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, a 30-year-old Bangladeshi citizen, based on CCTV evidence that placed him in the building’s stairwell. It is suspected that he unlawfully entered India, with rumors suggesting he was offered fake citizenship papers for a sum of money.
His argument was that he resorted to the robbery at Saif Ali Khan’s house because the money was essential for covering his mother’s medical expenses, which served as his primary motivation.
