Saif Ali Khan Attack: Where were security guards when intruder entered actor’s residence? Mumbai Police reveals shocking details

During their probe into the violent assault on Saif Ali Khan, Mumbai Police accompanied the detained suspect to various sites on Tuesday to reenact the events. Subsequent findings indicate that the security personnel were asleep when the trespasser infiltrated the actor’s home.

As reported by PTI, it was disclosed by Mumbai Police that security guards at Saif Ali Khan’s residence were asleep when an intruder gained access to their property on Thursday, January 16. The police further stated that the suspect, Shariful Islam Shehzad alias Vijay Das, entered through the main entrance, which lacked CCTV surveillance.

The key aspects of the crime emerged when Mumbai police reenacted the crime scene at the actor’s apartment complex on Tuesday, which is where he lives with his wife Kareena Kapoor, their children Taimur and Jeh. It was reported that the suspect had scaled the building’s wall, discovering two security guards asleep. To prevent any noise, he put his shoes in his bag and silenced his phone before proceeding further.

During the inspection, it was discovered that the building’s hallway lacked any CCTV systems. Further inquiry showed that one of the two security personnel had fallen asleep in their cabin, while the other guard was positioned by the entrance. This is what the source reportedly stated.

During approximately an hour, the Mumbai Police worked alongside the detained suspect within the 12-story home of the actor, aiming to reconstruct the crime scene as a means to comprehend the sequence of events leading up to the alleged assault by Shehzad during a burglary attempt.

On January 16th, a burglar broke into the home of the actor with plans for theft. But things escalated when the intruder was seen by a houseworker who raised an alarm, leading to Saif and another employee stepping in. During the ensuing altercation, the actor suffered several injuries. Consequently, his son, Taimur Ali Khan, and another staff member quickly transported him to Lilavati Hospital in an autorickshaw.

After having surgery which involved taking out a 2.5-inch long knife from his back, the actor was released from hospital care on Tuesday evening, January 22nd, following several days of medical supervision.
