Following several assaults at his residence, the wounded actor was transported to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital for treatment. There, he underwent two operations and stayed there for a few days while recuperating from his wounds. He returned home on January 21, 2025. In an interview with ETimes, the actor who starred in Omkara expressed his feelings about the unfortunate event.
In a statement to the publication, the actor said, “I wasn’t supposed to leave yet. Perhaps I have a few more impactful films ahead, some more joyous moments with loved ones, and opportunities for charitable work. That’s my hope.” Additionally, he discussed the increased security measures he has implemented following the distressing event. Reflecting on the experience, he advised, “Always ensure your doors are secure and be cautious.
Expressing gratitude, Khan emphasized that while they should appreciate their blessings, it’s crucial to prioritize safety and exercise caution. The best course of action is to secure belongings, seal off entryways, and enhance security measures. Surprisingly, even the beloved actor from Dil Chahta Hai doesn’t usually travel with a security detail.
Following the event, he found himself in a position where he had to do that. Openly expressing his feelings, the renowned star expressed regret over the situation as he never advocated for security. In fact, he dislikes having people near him. However, circumstances dictate that it’s necessary, at least temporarily. Summing up, he advised, “Ensure you’re exceptionally skilled. Put in the effort and hopefully the world will recognize your talent.” The actor from Bunty Aur Babli 2 concluded thusly.
Currently, in terms of work, Saif Ali Khan is keeping himself occupied by promoting his forthcoming heist action-thriller movie, “Jewel Thief – The Heist Begins.” This Netflix production is scheduled for release on April 25, 2025.
