As a long-time fan of both anime and streetwear, I can confidently say that this latest collaboration between ©SAINT Mxxxxxx and PLUTO has me utterly captivated! Growing up with manga and watching anime was a significant part of my youth, and seeing iconic characters like Pluto, Atom, Gesicht, and Dr. Roosevelt brought to life in such a unique way is truly exhilarating.
Collaboration Capsule with Pluto by SAINT Mxxxxxx – Launching August 10, 2024
The Saint Mxxxxxx brand, created by Cali Dewitt and Yuta Hosokawa, is recognized for its collaborative and clothing items with a focus on graphics and prints. For their most recent collection, they have revealed designs inspired by PLUTO, the popular Netflix adaptation of Naoki Urasawa’s manga series.
The items include a long-sleeved top and a T-shirt, both featuring a casual fit and the brand’s distinctive worn-out style. The T-shirt is dark blue in color and bears the phrase “PLUTO a new inception” in small lettering at the back, while an illustration of Atom is displayed on the front. On the other hand, the long-sleeved top features a full-sized print of Pluto, Atom, and Gesicht on the front, with the words “SAINT BOY” embroidered on the sleeves. The back of this top showcases a large image of Dr. Roosevelt (a teddy bear) with an ominous quote from the anime: “You’d better not make me angry.”
