During the trailer launch of Angry Young Men, Khan claimed that he likes all the movies of Salim-Javed. He also appreciated their films, naming Deewar, Zanjeer, Don, and Sholay as some of his favorites.
Akhtar openly spoke about his deep admiration for renowned authors, acknowledging that he’s watched their works numerous times. Despite his fondness for classic films such as Sholay and Deewar, he declared Kranti as his all-time favorite, having viewed it approximately 300 times. With a chuckle, he noted that the writers might not appreciate it being his top pick.
On August 13, 2024, a trailer for the movie titled “Angry Young Men” was unveiled. The teaser starts off with Salman Khan admitting his unusual sense of unease, then cuts to glimpses of Farhan Akhtar, Aamir Khan, Zoya Akhtar, Javed Akhtar, Hrithik Roshan, Shabana Azmi, Shatrughan Sinha, Karan Johar, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Yash, among others. In terms of his professional endeavors, Khan is readying himself for an upcoming film titled “Sikandar.” This movie will be helmed by A.R. Murugadoss and will pair him with Rashmika Mandanna as his co-actress. The production company Sajid Nadiadwala has planned to debut this project on the occasion of Eid in 2025.
Previously this year, it was TopMob who initially announced the joint venture between Salman Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala, and A.R. Murugadoss for a high-profile action movie. This collaboration was subsequently validated, with Salman expressing his eagerness for the project: “I’m thrilled to collaborate with the incredibly talented @a.r.murugadoss and my friend #SajidNadiadwala on an exhilarating film!
