Salman Khan House Firing Case: Accused claims to be influenced by Lawrence Bishnoi; says he had no intention to harm actor

As a die-hard Salman Khan fan with a heart full of love for Bollywood and its stars, I can’t help but feel a rollercoaster of emotions as I follow the latest developments in this unfortunate incident at Bhaijaan’s residence. It seems like no matter how many challenges life throws his way, our beloved Salman always manages to come out on top, just like he does in his movies!

Over three months have passed since the startling incident of gunfire at Salman Khan’s home in Bandra, Mumbai on April 14th left everyone stunned. Subsequently, the popular star provided a statement asserting that Lawrence Bishnoi‘s gang was responsible for the attack on his residence. In a recent update regarding the shooting at Salman Khan’s house, one of the accused has admitted to being influenced by Bishnoi.

On Monday, Vicky Gupta, one of the defendants in the case, submitted a bail application to a court established under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) in Mumbai. In his application, Gupta declared that he was influenced by the philosophies that Lawrence Bishnoi adheres to in his life, according to PTI’s report.

In the case at hand, the accused claims that Bishnoi, currently detained in the Sabarmati prison, was falsely implicated. He maintains that Bishnoi had no involvement whatsoever in the shooting incident.

Gupta declared that the shots were aimed at scaring Salman Khan regarding his 1998 blackbuck hunting case, and the defendant claimed he hadn’t received a call from Lawrence Bishnoi.

The shooter claimed he hails from a remote village in Bihar and lost a job in Tamil Nadu during the COVID-19 pandemic. He later contacted co-accused Sagar Pal.

According to reports, the defendant claimed that his heavy debt burden forced him into committing the crime. It’s said that he additionally stated that during the shooting incident, there was no intent to cause harm to Khan.

As reported by The Indian Express, the bail application submitted by lawyers Amit Mishra and Pankaj Ghildiyal claims that the defendant was drawn towards Lawrence Bishnoi’s social media content. Additionally, they assert that the defendant was deeply attracted to the ideologies of Bishnoi, who is known as a devoted follower of Bhagat Singh.

The plea stated that his co-accused Sagar had informed him to visit Mumbai for one “auspicious religious mission”. The applicant of the bail plea was “in dire need of money to feed his family” and came to the city. The plea further stated that he had no “clue about the alleged incident” until April 13.

Back in July, the Mumbai Crime Branch submitted a 1,735-page document known as a chargesheet (which was obtained by India Today). According to this chargesheet, Salman Khan provided a detailed account about his house shooting case. In this account, the renowned actor stated that he heard a firecracker-like noise when two individuals discharged their guns at his Galaxy Apartment in Bandra.

In the course of my daily updates, I learned that a well-known 58-year-old actor confirmed reports about his dismissal this morning, relayed to me by his security detail. He admitted involvement of Lawrence Bishnoi in the matter, revealing that he orchestrated the shooting incident with assistance from his associates.

In the midst of the harrowing situation I found myself in, my thoughts immediately turned to the safety and well-being of my dear ones who were peacefully sleeping during the ordeal. The assailants had clearly targeted not just me, but my entire family as well, as they had been plotting to take our lives. Consequently, we took necessary precautions and carried out the actions that ensued.

Both the accused were arrested from Gujarat for the alleged shooting at Salman’s residence.

In terms of his professional life, Salman Khan is getting ready for his upcoming movie titled Sikandar. This movie is helmed by AR Murgadoss and will hit the screens on Eid 2025. The production duties are handled by Sajid Nadiadwala. His recent appearance was in Tiger 3.
