As a die-hard fan of Bollywood’s ‘Bhaijaan’ Salman Khan, I can’t help but feel a chill down my spine every time I hear about such incidents involving him. This latest development in the shooting at his residence just confirms what we all have suspected – that the world of gangsters and celebrities intersect more than we’d like to think!
On April 14th of this year, two individuals discharged gunfire at actor Salman Khan’s apartment complex, Galaxy Apartments, located in Bandra, Mumbai. Subsequently, Salman asserted that the shooting was orchestrated by the gang of notorious criminal Lawrence Bishnoi. In a recent development, an individual named Sukkha, who is allegedly associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, was apprehended in Panipat, Haryana, regarding the case involving shots fired at Salman’s residence. More recently, a Mumbai court has declared that the gunmen aimed to kill Salman and were incited by Anmol, Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother.
Based on information from PTI, it was reported that the Mumbai court stated that the attackers aimed to assassinate Salman Khan following instigation by Anmol, the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Additionally, the court refused bail for an accused involved in a house shooting case.
On October 18th, B.D. Shelke, a judge handling cases under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), denied bail to shooter Vicky Gupta. The reasoning behind this decision was made public on October 21st.
According to the transcript of a call recording between Gupta and suspect Anmol Bishnoi, the court noted that it appears that Gupta and another suspect, Sagar Pal, carried out those actions upon Anmol’s instigation and under his guidance.
According to Judge Shelke’s court order, the First Information Report indicates that two individuals arrived on a motorcycle, and the passenger on the back of the bike is alleged to have fired gunshots at the first floor of Salman’s residence in Galaxy Apartment.
According to the court’s interpretation of Mr. Khan’s statement, it suggests that as a celebrity, he has many admirers from society and would often greet them at the gallery on the first floor of his home, even in the early morning hours.
The court went on to add that, according to Khan’s account and the current evidence in the First Information Report (FIR), the gunfire was apparently aimed towards the area where he normally used his home.
The police’s chargesheet indicates that Lawrence Bishnoi is being sought as an alleged suspect.
According to a previous account, it is said that both Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal were taken into custody in Gujarat, following a shooting incident at Salman’s home.
