In 2021, it became known that Salman Khan was working together with Raj Kumar Gupta on a biopic about Indian spy Ravindra Kaushik. Recently, the director of “Raid 2” himself has admitted to having discussions with Khan. Additionally, he disclosed that the project had been put on hold because the rights weren’t extended.
In a recent chat with PTI, filmmaker Raj Kumar Gupta disclosed that he and actor Salman Khan have been brainstorming ideas for a movie. Specifically, they’ve been considering making a biographical film about the life of Ravindra Kaushik.
Concerning the reason the movie didn’t get made, the filmmaker explained, “Initially, I had the rights, but they eventually lapsed, and I didn’t extend them, so we didn’t proceed with the project.
2021 saw TopMob reveal that Salman Khan would take on the role of Ravindra Kaushik in Raj Kumar Gupta’s upcoming film. A source privy to the project details shared, “This movie is inspired by the life of the Indian spy, Ravindra Kaushik, who earned the nickname ‘Black Tiger.’ Known as one of India’s greatest spies, he has been extensively researched by director Raj Kumar Gupta for the past five years. He has now successfully developed a screenplay that accurately represents the accomplishments and enduring legacy of Ravindra Kaushik.
According to the information provided, “The source stated, ‘He shared this story with Salman, who has shown initial interest in the project. This tale is one of the bravest and most astonishing from the annals of Indian Intelligence.’
