As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that Sandy Liang and Salomon are joining forces yet again, perfectly timed for Fashion Month! This dynamic duo has reunited to present a collaborative reinterpretation of the XT-Whisper silhouette from Salomon’s sportswear archives. The athletic outfitter recently revived this design just last month, and now we get to see Sandy Liang’s unique twist on it!
In a press statement, designer Sandy Liang expressed her fondness for the XT-Whisper silhouette from Salomon’s past collection. She relished the opportunity to reinvent it in a contemporary, urban context. This collaboration embodies her passion for outdoor escapades blended with the convenience and comfort of her daily city existence.
Liang has given the Whisper a refreshed look that aligns with the cool girl aesthetic, featuring a full-body soft pink shade reminiscent of fairy tales. Silver accents add sophistication to the design, while the original Whisper characteristics such as the Sensifit™ wave application and Quicklace lacing system are maintained in their usual positions.
In December, Salomon brought back the XT-Whisper design from their archives and launched it alongside the opening of their New York City store. This isn’t the first partnership between Salomon and Sandy; they collaborated in 2023 on the XT-6 Expanse and RX Moc 3.0, and again this July on the Speedcross 3 Ribbon and the RX MJ Sandy Liang.
