Sanam Teri Kasam: Mawra Hocane credits ‘marriage luck’ for Harshvardhan Rane co-starrer’s delayed success; ‘It’s my husband…’

Harshvardhan Rane and Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane are currently enjoying the long-awaited triumph of their 2016 release, Sanam Teri Kasam. This romantic drama film was re-released in cinemas almost nine years following its initial success. Notably, the actress, who has recently tied the knot, attributed her husband for bringing good fortune as she responded to the movie’s success.

Recently, during my conversation with Connect Cine, I gratefully acknowledged my husband, Ameer Gilani, for his role in bringing about the ‘good fortune’ following the triumph of our romantic movie, Sanam Teri Kasam.

She expressed, “Honestly, if the movie took nine years to reach these figures, I believe my husband’s good fortune must be at play. Since the film itself hasn’t changed much during this time, but what has is that Mawra got married. It seems like the marriage brings luck because the dates remain the same.

In addition, she mentioned that the affection their film has garnered has been unexpectedly immense for her as well. She acknowledged certain aspects that leave her astounded, but also confessed to having missed out on some things. However, she conveyed her heartfelt appreciation for it. Throughout the conversation, she also disclosed that she’s felt love from India since the premiere of Sanam Teri Kasam.

Recently, during an interview with the same platform, Harshvardhan Rane was asked if he had any messages for the actress. Instead of using words, the actor expressed his wishes in a unique way by saying, “I’d like to convey my wishes through numbers.

Actress Mawra Hocane tied the knot with fellow Pakistani actor Ameer Gilani during a private wedding on February 5, 2025, right here in Pakistan. They shared numerous enchanting photographs of their magical day on their social media accounts.

For those unfamiliar, Mawra and Ameer have acted together in popular Pakistani TV series such as Sabaat and Neem. Their screen chemistry has been widely appreciated by viewers.

2016’s film “Sanam Teri Kasam” returned to theaters on February 7, 2025. It had to contend with the return of several timeless favorites and new releases such as “Loveyapa” starring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, and “Badass Ravikumar” by Himesh Reshammiya.
