Today, on December 8, 2024, esteemed actress Sharmila Tagore is turning 79 years old. Following heartfelt birthday messages from Kareena Kapoor, Soha Ali Khan, and Saba Pataudi, her adoring granddaughter Sara Ali Khan posted intimate snapshots from the family’s joyful festivities, affectionately referring to them as “the pride and grace of our family”.

On December 8th, Sara Ali Khan posted a set of heartwarming photos from her grandmother Sharmila Tagore’s birthday celebration. The post started with a pair of sweet pictures featuring Sara and the birthday lady, then moved on to a lovely family photo. In the third picture, you can spot Sara, Sharmila, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, their son Taimur, Jeh (another grandson), Kunal Kemmu, Inaaya, and others.

The post continued with an adorable cake-cutting video, while Sara and Tagore were quite perplexed as Inaaya handed over the big knife. We can also see Soha Ali Khan, Kunal, Bebo, Saif, Soha, and more surrounding the birthday girl and singing birthday song for her followed by a couple of more cute pictures. “Happy Birthday Dadi Jaan Humari family ki Aan Aur Shaan,” the post was captioned.

Besides this, Soha Ali Khan also gave a peek behind the scenes as she and Kunal were captured smiling with beautiful Tagore. One of the photos shared by Soha that received a lot of attention was one featuring Jeh, who was sitting on Soha’s lap while posing with Tagore and Inaaya. The adorable actions of the little one made fans’ hearts melt. “Full bellies and even fuller hearts,” she captioned the post.

Sara has a particularly special relationship with her grandmother, Sharmila Tagore. In a recent conversation with Filmfare magazine, she revealed that this iconic figure helps Sara maintain a connection to her cultural heritage and serves as a source of contemporary wisdom, offering guidance on matters such as relationships, social interactions, and film choices.
