Originally, Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri were slated to appear together in Anurag Basu’s upcoming movie “Aashiqui 3.” However, more recent rumors suggest that Triptii has left the project. Instead, Kartik will be teaming up with the director for a brand new romantic film. Now, it appears that Imanvi and Sara Ali Khan are in the running to join Kartik as the main female characters in this upcoming romance.
Imanvi, well-known on social media, is stepping into acting for the first time in a movie alongside Prabhas. This venture is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar. As per a Midday report, Imanvi has decided to hold off on any other film commitments until her debut film hits the screens. It’s said that Bhushan Kumar is currently negotiating with the main producers of Prabhas’s movie in an effort to secure Imanvi for Anurag Basu’s upcoming romantic film featuring Kartik Aaryan.
If negotiations with Imanvi fail, it’s been hinted that producers of the romantic film might instead consider Sara Ali Khan for the role. A source said, “Sara Ali Khan is another strong candidate for the part as she recently collaborated with Anurag on Metro In Dino. If discussions with Imanvi break down, they will turn to Sara.” It’s also been mentioned that a decision regarding casting won’t be made until the end of January 2025.
Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan have teamed up before in the movie Love Aaj Kal (2020), directed by Imtiaz Ali. This upcoming film could mark their reunion on screen. Additionally, this would be Sara’s second project with director Anurag Basu, following their work together in the anthology film Metro In Dino.
Similarly, Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming project includes a romantic comedy titled “Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri”. This production is under Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures, with Sameer Vidwans as the director. The film is set to hit the screens in 2026.
