As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for celebrity dynamics, I must say that Sara Ali Khan’s friendship with Orry Awatramani seems to be one of those rare, genuine bonds that transcend the usual glitz and glamour associated with Bollywood. Their camaraderie is evident in their playful banter, as seen in Orry’s garlic naan incident, which I must admit, I can relate to on a personal level – who among us hasn’t had our favorite snack stolen at some point?
Sara Ali Khan, making her Bollywood debut alongside Sushant Singh Rajput in Kedarnath (2018), is cherished by fans for her down-to-earth demeanor in public life. Moreover, she’s known as a passionate food lover, as evident from her social media presence. Lately, Sara Ali Khan’s close friend Orry Awatramani reminisced about an instance where she took his garlic naan. In fact, Orry shared that the actress had literally taken it out of his mouth!
In a YouTube podcast chat with Aleena Dissects, Orry expressed his thoughts about choosing Sara Ali Khan as a companion in case of a zombie outbreak scenario.
In a creative twist, Orry envisioned the apocalypse as if Sara would choose the most vibrant, eccentric colors and let out a loud exclamation. The online figure humorously commented that he would be left speechless, or in other words, he’d “pass away”.
The internet personality noted that the Kedarnath star would perform a thumka (traditional Indian dance move) while sporting a “neon pink top” and carrying her ‘Kit-Kat bag’. She would also start screaming on the phone, he said.
On the podcast, Orry recounted an incident saying, “She also tends to take my food. There was a time when I was enjoying a garlic naan, and before I knew it, she snatched it right from my mouth and ate it. I protested, ‘That was my garlic naan! That was the only one we had in the house!’ It was mine, and she took it.
I, Orry Awatramani, made it clear that I won’t be tagging along with Sara in a hypothetical zombie apocalypse scenario. And just for fun, I jokingly hinted that in such an event, she might find herself in possession of my toilet paper and batteries.
During the same interview, Orry shared one of his favorite moments with Janhvi Kapoor, which was documented in their New York diaries. Orry explained that they both played a fun prank by splashing each other in a fountain at Washington Square Park in New York City. He went on to say that it turned into a friendly “fountain fight” and they captured some adorable photos of the experience.
Coming back to Sara Ali Khan, the actress has worked in movies like Simmba, Love Aaj Kal (2020), Atrangi Re, Ae Watan Mere Watan, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, and more.
Sara is set to make an appearance in Anurag Basu’s forthcoming movie titled “Metro…” which serves as a continuation of “Life in a Metro” (2007), known as “Dino.” Additionally, she has upcoming projects such as “Skyforce” and “Eagle” lined up.
