The streaming platform Paramount+ has greenlit a third installment of “School Spirits,” the youthful mystery series where Peyton List, known for her role in “Cobra Kai,” portrays Madison – a student who tragically passes away at her high school and is unable to depart as she investigates the murderer responsible.
The series is being created by Awesomeness TV, a studio within Paramount Global that focuses on young adult audiences. The original creators, Megan and Nate Trinrud, as well as showrunner Oliver Goldstick, are planning to return for the third season, which is scheduled to air in 2026.
As a gamer eagerly following the storyline, I was thrilled to see that the second season premiere drew an impressive average audience of 3.9 million within its first 28 days – a whopping 94% increase from the viewership of the first season’s debut. The narrative continues with Maddie Nears (List), trapped in the afterlife and tormenting Split River High School’s corridors, now aware of her fate and determined to rally her spectral and earthly companions to reclaim the life that was cruelly snatched from her.
In the United States, Canada, the UK, Australia, Latin America, and Brazil, you can already watch the first two seasons of [the show] on Paramount+. As for the second season, it hasn’t premiered yet in Italy, Germany, France, Switzerland, and Austria.
Shauna Phelan, who leads live action scripted series and films at Awesomeness TV and Nickelodeon, is excited to announce the return of School Spirits for another season! She said this in a statement, praising the outstanding storytelling that Peyton List and the talented cast have brought to life.” Goldstick and Nate Trinrud, along with Megan Trinrud, are also credited as executive producers.
