Seiko Releases Shohei Ohtani Limited Edition Prospex Watches

As a seasoned gamer and collector of unique items with a soft spot for sports memorabilia, I’ve always been intrigued by limited-edition collaborations that blend my passions. The recent announcement of Seiko’s Prospex watch models, crafted in collaboration with the legendary Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Dodgers, has sent a thrill down my gaming-loving spine!

As a gaming enthusiast speaking, I’m thrilled to share that Seiko has unveiled not one but two exclusive Prospex watch models, designed in collaboration with Shohei Ohtani and inspired by the Los Angeles Dodgers team colors. These limited-edition timepieces, named “SBEJ023” and “SBEJ025”, showcase two unique variations of the iconic Dodgers blue.

One of the models, the SBEJ023, is inspired by the Mechanical Divers 1968 Heritage GMT and comes in a striking black color scheme. Its blue bezel adds a pop of color that represents the team hue and includes the GMT hand and logo in bold red to align with the Los Angeles Dodgers theme. The watch also displays Ohtani’s uniform number, 17, on the crown. The second model, SBEJ025, boasts a contrasting white dial. Both watches carry Ohtani’s signature on the clasp. The back cover reads “SHOHEI OHTANI LIMITED EDITION” along with the watch’s serial number. There are only 1,700 pieces of the black model available, while only 500 pieces exist for the white dial version.

As an ardent admirer, I’m thrilled to share that these exquisite timepieces will be available at approximately ¥330,000 JPY each, and online reservations are now exclusively open for members. The grand release is set for February 7, 2025. Can’t wait!
