The woman who won our hearts as Alex Russo and serenaded us with her melodious voice, is now embracing the next chapter of her life – forever with Benny Blanco. It’s been an extraordinary year for Selena, from winning best actress at Cannes to being nominated for Emmys and Golden Globes, it seems like she can’t stop breaking records!

On her official Instagram account, the multi-talented artist, actress, and businesswoman excitedly shared her engagement news with the world. She posted photos of her stunning engagement ring and wrote in the caption, “A new chapter of forever starts now…

In December 2023, it was disclosed that Gomez, aged 32, was in a relationship with record producer Blanco. They had collaborated on Gomez’s singles “Single Soon” from 2023 and the 2019 hit “I Can’t Get Enough,” prior to their romantic involvement.

2021 has been an extraordinary year for Gomez, marked by significant achievements in film, television, and her personal life. Earlier this year at Cannes Film Festival, Gomez shared the best actress award with Emilia Perez’s co-stars Karla Sofía Gascón, Adriana Paz, and Zoe Saldaña. Additionally, she was recognized with an Emmy nomination for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series for her performance on Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building.” This week, she earned two Golden Globe nods for her work in both “Emilia Perez” and “Only Murders in the Building.

Over the past week, I’ve been absolutely thrilled to add another accolade to my collection – the Equity in Entertainment Award, bestowed upon me at The Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment gala breakfast. To top it off, I caused a social media frenzy at yesterday’s Academy Women’s Lunch. What a truly remarkable time!

Thirty-six-year-old Blanco is a renowned music producer who has collaborated with numerous high-profile artists such as Ed Sheeran, BTS, Eminem, Justin Bieber, Halsey, Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, Kesha, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Sia, The Weeknd, Kanye West, Avicii, Charlie Puth, Wiz Khalifa, J Balvin, Ariana Grande, and SZA.
